چکیده

Nowadays, space missions display communication needs shifting away from the pure telecommunication standpoint. Present (Martian exploration, formation flying) and future (Moon, inhabited flights to Mars) missions give clear indications that the era of space networks in its widest sense is dawning. Interplanetary Internet (IPN) was proposed to define the architecture and protocols necessary to permit interoperation of the Internets resident on Earth with other remotely located internets resident on other planets or spacecraft in transit. InterPlanetary Networks are particularly challenging, considering that connectivity between nodes is usually transient due to orbital movements and planet rotations. In this article, we explore some shared traits of the mobile and space environments (Propagation Delays, Asymmetric Channels, Transmission Errors, Bandwidth-Delay Products, Intermittent Connectivity, and Limited Link Capacity) and their specific impact on the TCP Protocol. We studied TCP characteristics over Deep Space Communication, and present a comprehensive performance analysis of various TCP variant over IPN Environment

Timestamp Retransmission Algorithm for TCP-Cherry over InterPlaNetary Internet

InterPlaNetary (IPN) Internet links have extremely long propagation delays and very high link error rates. In such networks, lost retransmissions of the TCP data segments are common. Existing TCP schemes can detect lost retransmissions only through TCP retransmission timeout and hence are inefficient in such scenarios. In this paper we propse a new algorithm for handling such lost retransmissio...

Application of Azolla for 2, 4, 6-Trichlorophenol (TCP) Removal from Aqueous Solutions

Background & Aims of the Study: The 2, 4, 6-Trichlorophenol (TCP) is a phenolic compound which it can produce adverse effects on human and environment. Therefore, the removal of these compounds is necessary. The aim of this study is the investigation of TCP removal by using Azolla filiculoides biomass. Materials & Methods: The Azolla biomass was dried in the sunlight, and...

Physicochemical Characterization of nano-clinoptilolite/-TCP /gelatin Scaffold and its Application in Periodontics

Background and aim: Due to the composite structure of the jaw bone, gelatin and beta-calcium phosphate (b-TCP) biomaterials have been used repeatedly in bone tissue engineering. Despite the desirable properties of scaffolds made, their application has been limited due to their poor mechanical properties and high degradability. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of clinoptilolit...

Tcp Performance in a Geostationary Satellite Environment

Geostationary satellite links have characteristics that can degrade the performance of TCP. The propagation time for a geostationary satellite link is on the order of 0.25 seconds. Thus a satellite can add approximately 0.5 seconds to the round trip time experienced by a TCP packet and the corresponding acknowledgement. This delay time is the primary cause of TCP inefficiency over satellites. T...

Effects of time, temperature and precursor on solid state synthesis of α-TCP

The effects of solid state synthesis process parameters (time and temperature) and primary calcium precursor on the amount of produced α-tricalcium phosphate (Ca3(PO4)2 or α -TCP) have been investigated. α-TCP was synthesized by firing of stoichiometric amount of calcium carbonate and monetite in first group and calcium carbonate and brushite in the second group, once at 1350°C for 3,6,8,16 h d...
